To Kill A Mockingbird-Miss Maudie

"Mockingbirds don't do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don't eat up people's gardens, don't nest in corncribs, they don't do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That's why it is a sin to kill a mockingbird."

Miss Maudie was one of Scout's female role-models. Miss Maudies' word of wisdom would be to live with the love of Jesus, and not to kill innocence. The love for Jesus/God with Miss Maudie explains the reasons of her loving every creature on the planet. She also had  faith because of the way the lived her life, and Miss Maudie would never "kill a mockingbird." The mockingbird in what she talks about is a symbol of a person that has not bothered, or hurt in any kind of way, someone else's life. All the "mockingbird" does is enjoyable throughout the community. Killing a mockingbird is just like accussing an innocent man of a crime he did not commit, or judging a person by what they are labeled as. Miss Maudie's way of thinking is to not judge, harm, or accuse anyone(or thing) if they are no threat to society. All "mockingbirds" have innocence. So why kill innocence? This is a daily word of wisdom to keep in you heart and believe.
