To Kill A Mockingbird-Mr. Tate

"Mr. Finch, there are some kind of men you have to shoot before you can say hidy to 'em. Even then, they ain't worth the bullet it takes to shoot 'em. Ewell 'as one of them."

Mr. Tate's "word of wisdom" is to never let your guard down for the people that are not worth talking to. In this quote that Mr. Tate had said, he talks about a man that is greedy, and vicious. He explains that some men do not deserve to be called men because they act like wild animals. Mr. Tate can be described by being fair, honest, and well-rounded person. Even if Mr. Tate does not have an outstanding educational background, he does have a good sense of morals that he lives by. Standing his ground is a well-known action that Mr. Tate portrays. Obviously Mr. Tate has seen crimes in the world, which molded him and his beliefs into what they are now. Letting your guard down on people you should not trust will change your perspectives and morals. Therefore, if you do not let your guard down you will not get confused by the way of your morals, and by the way of other peoples morals and influences. Do not get this word of wisdom confused with the statement of never opening up to people or trusting others. Just make sure if you are going to trust someone, that they are worth the time and effort to trust.
